One of Four Vendors Selected Out of Twelve to Solve APCO's Business Challenge

Exstream Software has announced their selection by InformationWeek and Doculabs to present their Dialogue solution to the Automobile Protection Corporation (APCO) at The InformationWeek Spring Conference in Amelia Island, Florida APCO markets and administers extended vehicle service contracts (VSCs), primarily under the EasyCare brand name, through some 1,200 automobile dealers nationwide

The service contracts insure customers' cars against costly repairs.

The Live RFP event gave APCO an opportunity to interview the four software vendors selected by InformationWeek and Doculabs, out of twelve submissions, "live" in front of a large audience.

APCO, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary and administrator of private label service contracts for companies like Allstate, America Honda Finance, Bank One, Manheim Auto Auctions, Mazda USA, Primus Financial Services, Sonic Automotive Group and Volvo Canada, has captured about two percent of the domestic VSC market.

It sees room for significant growth, both domestically and abroad, but is somewhat constrained by heavy reliance on paper- and labour-intensive document processes.

Streamlining these operations could save time, money, and pave the way for expansion.

APCO would like to drive a portion of its processing to the Web, giving dealers and customers a new channel for contract enrollment and ongoing customer service.

Richard Medina, principal analyst and co-founder of Doculabs, a leading research and advisory firm, states: "We chose Exstream Software as one of the vendors who could best meet APCO's needs because their Dialogue software suite has the content management and Web-enabled capabilities to solve APCO's immediate challenges, but at the same time can integrate customer relationship management (CRM) into the process so that customers walk out of the dealership with a completely personalised service contract in hand".

Dialogue combines personalised document creation, content management, campaign management and tracking, and multi-channel delivery in one easy-to-use tool.

It meets APCO's requirements for document management with sophisticated content management, version control, and workflow approval capabilities.

Dialogue's Campaign Management and Tracking, and eFulfillment Web Engine, would allow APCO to deliver fully personalised contracts through both paper and Internet channels.

Additionally, Dialogue's intuitive interface would give business users at APCO's dealerships the ability to add their own customised messages and promotions to certain documents.

Application development time is minimal due to Dialogue's intuitive design, so APCO could easily meet their time-to-market demands, and at the same time benefit from streamlined processes and reduced costs.
