Microcontrollers have many on-board peripherals
Low pin count microcontrollers is set to redefine the low-end microcontroller market with the number and variety of its onboard peripherals, whilst maintaining low power consumption and low cost.
They also tackle specific issues raised by the often 70 strong audiences.
The seminars, which have recently been on tour as far afield as Australia, have proved highly successful over the last year and are seeing record numbers of attendees sign up to discuss how the legislation will affect the electronics industry.

Bill of materials conversion service is on-line
A source for RoHS compliant products and information, has launched an online version of its Bill of Materials conversion service - users log on and upload their BOM, regardless of the manufacturer.
With RoHS compliant suppliers exhibiting at the university forums, and often presenting on soldering techniques and alternatives, attendees get up-to-date and realistic advice on the directives and understand how to implement alternative solutions effectively.
The WEEE Directive is also covered with speakers including recycling specialist Alan Dukinfield, from RID UK.
Richard English, quality manager of Monitran , a world leader in vibration and displacement measurement technology, who recently attended a London based Farnell InOne seminar, said: "The seminar was instructive, useful, amusing and professional.
It has saved Monitran many hours of time and stopped us going down the wrong route as we become RoHS and WEEE compliant." Also speaking about the seminars, Gary Nevison, head of Product Market Strategy, Premier Farnell Europe and Asia and Chairman of the AFDEC RoHS Team, comments: "The success of the RoHS and WEEE seminars demonstrates the growing demand to understand and speed up RoHS compliance.
However, there are still hugely varying degrees of awareness about both RoHS and WEEE.
Although some companies are well advanced, there are many only just starting to gather information.
People are now beginning to appreciate that there is a need for speed when it comes to compliance and they are increasingly eager to find out how RoHS will affect them.
There is a real thirst for information.
The free seminars allow people to ask questions about the directives that they may not have been able to find answers to elsewhere.
Importantly, these seminars clear up confusion about the legislation, giving jargon free, helpful and accurate information about the impact of RoHS." The events are being run from Sydney, Australia, to London, UK.
