Machine vision maker appoints new CEO

Falcon-Vision Rt manufactures machine vision systems that are used primarily in the automotive industry for fully automated, 100% inspection of complex components and assemblies such as cylinder heads and automotive lamps.
They allow measurements of literally hundreds of parameters in real time on a production line with feed -back into the production process not only to identify faulty components but also to provide statistical data which may provide early warning of faults in the production process itself.
Headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, the company established a wholly owned subsidiary in Mannheim, Germany in 2002 and has distributors in the US, Japan and India.
With automotive giants such as Volkswagen and Audi already amongst its customer base, the company is poised for a major expansionary push.
Terry said: " I am excited by what I see at Falcon-Vision.
We have first class products that are delivering real benefits to our customers and we have a highly skilled workforce.
My task is to put into place the building blocks needed to establish a worldwide sales, marketing, service and support network that takes into account local market needs and trading practices." Terry graduated in physics from Keble College, Oxford in 1979, starting his professional career as software engineer before progressing into engineering management, technical support and then into sales.
He worked in several countries in Europe, North Asia and Middle East.
From 1993 until 1998 he worked for Madge Networks as vice president and general manager, taking roles in the UK, Hong Kong and the USA.
Prior to joining Falcon-Vision, he worked for Airspan Communications as VP worldwide sales and marketing where he delivered significant revenue growth and the largest orders ever.
Airspan Communications successfully listed on the Nasdaq exchange in 2000.
Terry is married with two children.
He has relocated to Budapest and has just started to learn Hungarian.
In his free time he likes yachting and is a qualified yachtmaster offshore.
