Fagor Arrasate, Spanish power press builder is delivering Ford a line of robotised and highly efficient power presses - valued at some EUR 13 million - for its plant in Australia.

The order made by the Ford Motor Company to the MCC Cooperative amounts to EUR 13 million and includes a large robotised and highly efficient press line.

A group of Ford engineers recently visited Fagor Arrasate in Mondragon (Guipuzcoa), to carry out several tests with the machines.

They were very pleased with these results, particularly with the product's quality and performance, and approved the despatch to the Australian plant.

Specifically, this line of presses is made of a 24,000kN (2,400 tonf) head press that allows for producing at a rhythm of 20 parts/min and a further three 10,000kN (1000 tonf) presses.
