Slitting/cut-to-length line runs at 140
blanks/min

The cut-to-length line will process 1525mm wide and 3.2mm thick coils at a speed of 140 blanks/min.
This high production rate is obtained by the advanced design of Fagor's rotating shears, with big advantages in productivity, precision and reduced investment, as the occupied space is much less and foundation costs are reduced to the maximum as no pit is needed.
In addition, the line has equipment for processing delicate coated steels and includes a high precision leveller for steels with a high elastic limit.
The slitting line, on its part, will process coils weighing 15 tonnes with thicknesses of up to 4mm and at a speed of 250m/min.
It includes a quick tool changing system in the circular shear that allows for starting a new cutting programme in only 4 min.
This is a big advantage, as the bottleneck in a slitting line is the low availability due to downtime.
With Fagor's new systems, this problem has been solved and users achieve an extremely high return for their money.
