Fasson MC Perle, a wet-strength pearlescent facestock, is the latest addition to the Fasson range of self-adhesive materials for wine labelling.

Fasson MC Perle, a wet-strength pearlescent facestock, is the latest addition to the Fasson range of self-adhesive materials for wine labelling.

It is claimed to offer a tactile finish, as well as a subtle silver sheen for labels on high-value vintage wines and joins the existing range of dedicated wine labelstocks in Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe's wine labelling catalogue, Preferred Product Portfolio and the Fasson Ideas Book.

Together, the company said the three sources offer a choice of 40 different self-adhesive product combinations for Europe's wine trade.

Selected for its visual appeal for high-value wines and FABs, as well as other high-end packaged goods, Fasson MC Perle can be printed by all the print processes with conventional and UV inks (to which it adds an extra sparkle).

It is also suitable for hot foil stamping and is claimed to offer good die-cutting and waste-stripping characteristics.

Fasson MC Perle is supplied as standard with Fasson S2045, a general-purpose, permanent, rubber-based adhesive, in minimum order quantities as low as 1,000 square metres.

Fasson believes that even smaller wineries can, therefore, benefit from the new labelstock.
