A self-contained crimping tool for the contractor, utility and telecommunications markets, offers a faster crimp time, improved ergonomic design and an 18V Nickel Metal-Hydride (NiMH) battery.

FCI, a leading manufacturer and provider of connector solutions to the industrial, energy, application tooling and automotive industries, introduces the newly designed Burndy PATRIOT (PAT750-18V) tool for the contractor, utility and telecommunications markets With a faster crimp time, improved ergonomic design, and an 18V Nickel Metal-Hydride (NiMH) battery, the PATRIOT tool is a one-hand, self-contained crimping solution

Offering trouble-free tool operation, the PATRIOT features the latest engineering technology with a patented pump, transmission and piston design.

FCI's self-contained hydraulic tool provides a consistent, reliable connection up to 750 kcmil and a quieter, more efficient operation.

The PATRIOT is designed with the versatile Burndy Y750 tool head, allowing the user to reach tight spaces.

With its 360ø head rotation design, the tool head can operate in virtually any position.

The PATRIOT has a 12-ton output force, an audible "pop-off" and visual crimp indicator, and an ergonomically balanced design to lessen fatigue.

Burdy's PATRIOT incorporates a patent pending bearing and alignment guide for use with HYGROUND and other asymmetrical connectors.

Its high capacity 18V NiMH battery eliminates voltage depression, maximizing the number of crimps per charge.

FCI's new crimping tool uses standard Burndy "U" style dies, installs universal off-the-shelf connectors and includes a two-year limited warranty.

About FCI FCI, located in Manchester, NH, is the second largest connector manufacturer in the world, and provides reliable systems and OEM solutions to the telecommunications, data, industrial and instrumentation, energy, automotive, application tooling, and military/aerospace industries.
