Fozmula has announced the availability of a new generation of capacitive liquid level switches - the S65 and S66 - designed for use in a variety of liquid types, from water and water-based fluids through to oil/diesel and other low-conductivity liquids These new switches are factory programmable, and will provide Fozmula's customers with far more flexibility in the way they use liquid level switches than they have had so far

Intelligent capacitive liquid level sensor
Fozmula has announced the availability of a new type of intelligent capacitive liquid level sensor (the T/LL130) which will build upon the success of its existing T/LL100 range.
The S65 and S66 are based upon the same capacitance technology as the S45 and S46 enabling them to be used in similar applications especially those where tolerance of extremes of temperature and pressure is necessary.
Fozmula developed the S45 and S46 in 2003 working closely with a group of customers who were seeking a reliable switch which could be used for coolants and oil/diesel in difficult operating conditions.
Cummins , one of Fozmula's major customers, put the S45 and S46 through rigorous testing in the field and at their US manufacturing facility in Fridley, Minnesota, and with the help of the feedback from these tests Fozmula developed a switch able to operate at up to 5 bar and in temperature ranges from -40C to 130C.
The S65 and S66 complement the S45 and S46 switches by offering similar functionality but with more programmable options.
These options will enable customers to specify more than 30 different switching combinations and to incorporate functions such as delay on start-up and delay on liquid rise and fall.
Chris Hands, Fozmula's Head of Engineering with responsibility for new product development, said "the S65 and 66 are a significant step forward for Fozmula and establish our position as a major supplier in this area of the market place.
The S45 and S46 are used in engines, coolant tanks and hydraulic systems by a significant number of major customers with great success.
By introducing the S65 and S66 we are giving our customers more options, thus enabling them to incorporate greater flexibility and automation into their applications.
We genuinely believe we have developed a more robust and cost-effective liquid level switch than those currently available from other suppliers".
Fozmula has specialised in developing and manufacturing sensors, gauges and syst.
