Nuts and locking strips reliability confirmed
Nuts and locking strips have a self-locking performance That ensures complete assembly reliability as validated by vibration loosening tests conducted by official laboratory CETIM.
Lanfranco of France, a specialist in safety assembly fittings, has unveiled the star products of its range, the ERM, ESL and HCE nuts and locking strips.
Their self-locking performance ensures complete assembly reliability validated by vibration loosening tests conducted by official laboratory CETIM.
Unlike the other self-locking nuts on the market, Lanfranco nuts can be re-used up to 25 times.
They provide very high resistance to vibration and ensure high-security fitting, in particular for the railway sector.
Lanfranco of France manufactures and distributes a full range of self-locking nuts and modular fittings for the railway, defence, public works and new energies sectors.
Applications for the company's fittings include, among others, the production of specialist equipment for the quarrying and mining industries.
Lanfranco recommends ESL nuts for standard or safety assemblies.
The self-locking system used consists in the compression of the flanks of several screw threads in two zones.
More particularly, it is used in the railways sector for fixing parts under the chassis of carriages (compressors, transformers, air-conditioning units, and cabinets for various types of equipment), and for bolting shock-absorbers, traction motors, pantograph strips as well as brakes.
With the same self-locking system as in ESL nuts, ERM nuts also have an integrated conical washer that maintains tension in the assembly.
They are used for all standards of safety assembly jobs requiring parts to be maintained under traction.
ERM nuts are recommended for electrical connections (shunts) and for assemblies of several superposed items or flexible materials (composites, elastomers, etc.).
HCE nuts are most commonly used for standard or safety assemblies with several nuts, more particularly when costs need to be kept under control (rail laying in the railway industry, for instance).
The self-locking system used consists in the compression of one or two threads in a zone.
Modular assembly fittings providing a degree of transverse leeway - locking strips are multi-point self-locking fittings positioned in a section with specific centre distances (defined by the client) and providing lateral liberty (or leeway). They are generally used to connect several fixation points in a single operation without the need to respect centre-distances or counter-drilling very closely.
