UV laser marking machines introduced
A specialist in aerospace cable-marking technology is launching UV laser marking machines for all areas of industry where quality and competitiveness requirements demand them.
Laselec of France, a specialist in cable-marking technology applied to the aerospace sector, is now releasing its new Ulys Line - UV laser marking machines that are suitable for all industrial sectors.
The new equipment coming onto the market is intended for all areas of industry where quality, productivity and competitiveness requirements make the use of new technologies such as UV laser identification essential.
Until now, the machines designed and developed by Laselec have been used for marking aeronautical cables and cutting them to size and length.
The new Ulys Line marking machines, however, can be used across all industrial sectors - including shipping, automotive, the railways, and telecommunications - and whatever the production volumes involved.
The Ulys Line comes in addition to the MRO 200 and Ulys ranges; the machines are now equipped with the new multi-spool cabinet with automatic feeding, as well as an automatic re-reeler.
"The great flexibility offered by our new systems is a reflection of our technical know-how: the multi-spool cabinets have a capacity of between four and 24 spools.
The cable feed can be manual or automatic and the productivity is unrivalled - with the automatic system, you can change spools [i e, switch over from one spool to the next] in just a few seconds.
A very user-friendly production software package provides maximum usability," explained Marie-Line Clemencon-Laval, Laselec's sales director.
Many leading companies have put their trust in Laselec.
The French company has recently perfected a system for marking aluminium cables for Airbus that complies with the aerospace group's extremely demanding specifications.
This means that Laselec is the only manufacturer whose machines meet the AIRBUS specifications for the marking of aluminium cables.
As a result, cable manufacturers have chosen Laselec as the exclusive supplier of machines specifically intended for marking the aluminium cables, which are destined to equip not only the A380, but also the A350 and the A400M.
Laselec is now the only manufacturer of UV laser cable-marking machines that develops its own laser.
Unlike other players in the sector, Laselec does not subcontract the manufacture of this key part, which gives the specialist company total control over its products and an unequalled capacity to provide maintenance and after-sales services for its machines.
Laselec is confident that it offers the most technically advanced machines on the market at really competitive prices.
Indeed, right from the design stage, the company develops products that take the end-user's maintenance and operating costs into account.
* About Laselec - Laselec is headquartered in Toulouse (in South-Western France).
The company will be attending the NBAA trade show in Orlando (in the USA) from 17 to 19 October 2006.
The company, which has always been a specialist in UV laser cable-marking technology, as applied to the aerospace sector, is now building on its unique expertise in order to offer integrated cable-marking solutions to users in a range of other industries - from shipping and automotive to telecoms and railway transport.
Laselec's dynamic approach to its business on the international scene has enabled it to win the Grand Prix Export 2005 - a top award for French exporters that stand out.
Laselec has also received the Gazelle 2005 seal of approval, rewarding France's most dynamic SMEs.
