Equipment for the dairy and food-processing industries includes complex stainless-steel process tanks to turnkey plants with built-in automatic controls Goavec of France, a specialist in the batch processing of pumpable, liquid and paste-based products, supplies process equipment to the dairy, food-processing, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries

The company's products range from complex stainless-steel process tanks to turnkey plants with built-in automatic controls.

Goavec is looking for distributors in the UK.

Goavec is well known for the quality of its tanks and its expertise in whey crystallisation and cream ripening.

The company's range of tanks is divided into three types: tanks open to the atmosphere; sterilisable tanks in which absolute sterility is maintained; and ultra-clean tanks with protected atmosphere and three pressure ranges (from <150mbar to >500mbar).

Goavec also produces crystallisers that enable a very high degree of sugar crystal homogeneity to be achieved.

The company's other products include the Viscostar, a patented agitator intended for the dairy and foodstuffs sector, as well as various agitators and mixers for an extremely wide array of industries.

The Bactosas is a patented piece of equipment that provides an alternative to industrial clean rooms, and the Robostar is a multi-purpose machine (direct/indirect heating, cooling, pressurisation, vacuum technology, cleaning in place, sterilisation, agitation adaptable to the product, etc).

Finally, the company manufactures a single-piece automatic cleaning unit.

Goavec also offers on-site and on-platform units with different levels of automation, including monitoring tool programming.

Hygiene is extremely rigorously controlled, protecting against contaminations within washing facilities.

The Customer Service department supplies spare parts, offers preventive or curative maintenance, performs inspections and diagnostics, and upgrades already existing equipment.

* About Goavec - Goavec was founded in 1924, and is headquartered in Alencon (in north-west France).

The company employs 185 staff and posts annual sales of EUR 20 million.

Exports account for 30% of sales, and Goavec has customers in 60 countries.

Process tanks represent 51% of sales, with 40% of turnover coming from turnkey installations, and 9% stemming from Customer Service for maintenance and replacement parts.

Goavec will take part in the Djazagro trade show in Algiers (Algeria) from 16 to 19 April 2007.
