Guiding system for multi-product
conveyors
FlexLink has introduced a range of conveyors, accumulation and elevation handling systems with electrically driven guiding units suitable for multi-product manufacturing lines.
Visit FlexLink this year on Stand 5140 Hall 5 at the Total Exhibition, where they will be demonstrating a multi product handling concept solving a long-standing productivity bottleneck in conveyor lines Features of the system include the classic range of conveyors, accumulation, elevation handling, along with the second generation Hygienic System and the Automatic Guiding System

Wide side-flexing conveyor suits packaging systems
Side-flexing, conveyor transports bulky or soft, pliable, ready-packed products, which require the stable support of a wide fine mesh pattern chain that also minimises risk of jamming or tearing.
'Hands on' picking demonstration offered
On display at PPMA will be a FlexLink Systems picking solution incorporating one of its classic conveyors with a compact ABB IRB 140 six-axis robot offering visitors 'hands on' demonstrations.
The Guiding System makes efficient multi product manufacturing lines a reality as shorter product runs and product changes are commonplace in industry today.
The core of the system is the electrically driven guiding units which control the position of the guide rails along the line.
Up to 220 guiding units can be controlled from one cabinet and the system has a repetitive accuracy of less than +- 0.1 mm.
Compared to manual resetting, the new system eliminates sources of disturbances and enhances the stability of the product conveyed.
The system is designed for dry and wet production environments and suits a wide range of conveyor types.
The system also demonstrates high levels of hygiene with the second generation of its modular hygienic conveyor concept.
The new design, materials, close tolerances and speed control make the conveyor lubrication-free, which prevents contamination of the products conveyed and saves costs for lubricants and their supply systems.
The new chain, combined with improved conveyor rigidity allows for conveyor speeds up to 100 metres per minute, still maintaining the stability of the products conveyed.
Speed control has been integrated into the drive units, allowing dynamic buffering and soft start and stop.
The equipment has been verified by leading international dairy groups as being crucial for plant efficiency in strictly hygienic environments.
