Podcasts remove the 'mystery' from EDI
A series of podcasts has been launched to 'demystify' electronic data integration for IT managers in a professional and 'non-technical' way.
A series of free podcasts has been introduced to aid finance and IT managers who are a bit 'rusty' on the latest initiatives in electronic data integration (EDI).
First B2B said that the majority of well managed businesses are rapidly expanding their EDI arrangements with suppliers and customers, enabling them to carry lower stocks, ensure quicker payment and save administrative overheads in their finance departments.
The company said that many finance and even some IT managers are vague on how the latest EDI systems work and the benefits that they can bring to business.
These are the reasons why a leading EDI provider First B2B has launched a series of podcasts to 'demystify' the subject in a professional and 'non-technical' way.
The podcasts are entirely free and the first is now available on FirstB2B's Web site.
First B2B's chairman, Richard Ward said: "Gone are the days when EDI represented just another headache for the finance director and his IT staff.
The latest generation of Software as a Service (SaaS) EDI systems work so that the complexities of EDI are removed for both trading partners, they are easy to set up and even easier to maintain".
He concluded: We hope that these podcasts will help Finance and IT managers up the learning curve to understanding what is now possible".
