FFP have produced printed Esterpeel lidding films for new salad packs for Soleco, owners of the Florette salad brand.

FFP have produced printed Esterpeel lidding films for new salad packs for Soleco, owners of the Florette salad brand.

Responding to the consumer trend towards low carbohydrate foods and the need to provide people with something to eat out of the home, the Florette products are complete salad and protein meals, including toppings, dressings and a fork with which to eat the product.

The company's trade campaign slogan is 'a great alternative to sandwiches'.

Vital to establishing a new product such as this is the on-shelf impact created by the packaging, and Florette was able to draw on FFPs experience in Esterpeel printed topweb lidding films to create a secure but easily peelable lid, vividly printed in full colour.

To make the design leap out at the customer browsing the shelf, FFP said it used the latest flexographic printing technology with digital repro.

The print is protected as part of a laminate structure, which also enhances the gloss level of the lid making it even more visually effective.

The lidding film selected is peelable with antimist, part of FFPs Esterpeel TW family, a range of lidding films featuring graphics to enhance lidded products without the need to apply labels to the pack.
