Unprecedented levels of interest in this year's Annual Awards for Excellence are being reflected in a very encouraging voter response, according to the Fork Lift Truck Association.

Unprecedented levels of interest in this year's Annual Awards for Excellence are being reflected in a very encouraging voter response, according to the Fork Lift Truck Association.

"This year's event has already set an all-time record in terms of the number nominations," says Association chairman Richard Baxter, "so we expect the results of this hotly-contested competition to be more exciting than ever".

Those who have not yet cast their votes in the important categories of Safety, Environment, Ergonomics and Innovation are reminded that the deadline for their receipt is Monday 31 January 2005.

Anyone who wants to be there when the eagerly anticipated Awards announcements are made, and to enjoy the atmosphere of what is always a memorable event, is advised to book immediately.

The event takes place on Saturday 26 February 2005 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole - and tickets always sell out quickly.

As well as the excellent cuisine and luxurious facilities for which the Metropole is famed, guests will be treated to an evening of top-class entertainment.

There are three acts on the bill, including King Masco - 'The King of African Dance Music' - together with his lively musicians and female dancers.

This will be followed by a high-energy sound and light show from Intrigue, whose music and dance set will cover chart hits from the 60s to the present day.

The third act is mysteriously being kept under wraps.

All the organisers will say is that 'sparks might fly'! Bookings are being taken now (individually and in tables of ten) and a special table-arranging service will make sure that everyone is placed with appropriate, like-minded company.

To make a booking, please contact the FLTA.
