Magnetic filtration cleans up moulders

A Fluid Conditioning Systems product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Dec 14, 2004

Installation of magnetic filtration systems in a vacuum cleaner manufacturer's injection moulding machines has avoided ferrous contamination in pumps and chillers.

Makers of the famous 'Henry' vacuum cleaner, Numatic International, have benefited from the use of Magnom technology on their injection moulding machines.

M Duffy, Supervisor, says: "We can now appreciate just how much of an adverse effect this ferrous contamination has had on our pumps and chillers as it passed through them.

By installing the Magnom filter we have taken steps to eliminate this issue and in doing so we will dramatically reduce the level of maintenance required on these components in the future".

Magnom distributors for the injection moulding sector, Nickeron Europe ltd, based in the UK are in the process of applying the Magnom technology to every moulding machine in the Numatic plant.
