The relationship is now being extended with the signing of a Frame Agreement between the two companies, making Emerson a preferred supplier to all the Huntsman European manufacturing plants, which involve 27 locations across seven countries.
The agreement was signed on 20 November at the Wilton Centre on Teesside, by Mike Whisson, Purchasing Director, representing the Huntsman group, and Laurence Broomhead, European President of Emerson Process Management.
Also present were Steve Brown, Managing Director of Emerson Process Management for the UK and Ireland, Lynda Hugill, Capex Buying Manager of Huntsman, and David Brass, Key Account Director for Emerson, responsible for relationships with the Huntsman group in the UK.
The three year frame agreement will allow all Huntsman group companies in Europe to purchase products from Emerson using standard prices, in Euros, to standard terms and conditions.
Emerson and Huntsman will extend the agreement, as soon as possible, to include their manufacturing plants in Malaysia and South Africa.
