Fixtureworks is now offering Kippo Novo-Grip knurled knobs to give operators comfort and secure holding for a wide use of workholding and other applications.

Located in Fraser, Michigan, Fixtureworks makes and supplies workholding technologies and machine tool components The company has lately expanded manual operating control components with a full selection of Novo-Grip Knurled Knobs from Kipp - an established German manufacturer of manual operating elements

The knurled knobs provide ergonomic comfort, secure holding and stylish European design making them ideal in a wide range of mechanical applications and for use on end products, said Fixtureworks to manufacturingtalk.

These knobs are commonly found on commercial equipment, medical components, food processing machines, electronic devices as well as consumer products.

The knurled knobs feature an aesthetic and innovative design that is carried throughout the range of products - including mushroom, ball and wing style, five-lobe knobs, handwheels and positioning wheels along with crank handles and pull handles.

The sustained design throughout the product line ensures excellent functionality as well as continuous look and feel to any product and application.

* Materials choice - Fixtureworks offers these knurled knobs in many materials, such as steel, stainless steel and thermoplastics, and in a wide variety of sizes.

In addition the plastics knobs feature color coded caps which assist in identifying function, placement or sequential operation.

The color options for these caps include dark gray, light gray, yellow and red.

They are also offered with male and female threads in both steel and stainless steel.

The sizes available, for knobs having external threads, range from 21 to 34mm knob diameter with threads spanning 10-32 to 3/8-16 for the inch grouping.

Metric knobs range from 21 to 34mm outer diameter with threads of M5 through M10.

Lengths of the threaded stud range from 10 to 40mm.

The knurled knobs featuring the internal thread configuration are available in the same size ranges - 21 to 34mm knob outer diameters with threads of 10-32 to 3/8-16 or M5 through M10.

The threaded bushing measures 10 to 14mm in length.

Internal clearance is provided beyond the insert for variations in retention stud lengths.

Regardless of thread style selected, heights of the formed plastic knob sections extend from 22 to 36mm.

* Spring plungers - Fixtureworks also offers Kipp spring plungers, rest and riser pads, tension levers and torque handles, ball knobs, and hand wheels.

Among its other 20,000-plus items are Fairlane Products' grippers, rest pads, Swivots swivel/positioning components, Quick Release ball-lock pins, rollers and bumpers; Imao clamps, stops, part supports, risers, T-nuts, sliding mounts, springs, plates and blocks.

From OK-Vise are single and double wedge clamp designs and Mitee-Bite knife edge, slot, uniforce, toe, low profile, and expansion clamp designs.
