Flex designs new Grolsch bottle
The experienced packaging designers from the Delft-based design firm FLEX/the INNOVATIONLAB have developed a distinctive green return bottle for the world market in cooperation with Grolsch.
The new packaging is made up out of three interconnected elliptical compartments and refers to the Spanish dishes tapas are mostly presented in.
The designers used synthetic material (PP) but the shape as well as composition of the packaging reminds of the traditional Spanish pottery decorating many tapas bars.
Spanish tapas have conquered a sound position in Dutch cooking.
They bring sociability and a natural atmosphere, whether coming along with a drink or making up a full-fledged meal.
Up to now the snacks and tapas were packed, if packed ready-to-eat at all, in such a way that did not bring forth products worthy of presentation on the dinner table.
The new Aoste packaging has definitely changed this.
The dish FLEX developed gives a clever interpretation to Aoste's company statement to "change an ordinary event into a special occasion" and finely complements the traditional tapas pottery.
Aoste products hold a tradition of nearly thirty years and their premium-meat products have built up international fame.
The new packaging emphasizes the fact that Aoste also produces several fine "snack" products.
The FLEX designers have developed a pack that is different and by this stands out in the shelf.
Visually the three compartments are separate.
This fits in well with the tapas scene and yet the packaging has the convenience of one dish only with fixed parts.
The dish is produced in metallic which gives it a stylish, reflecting and outstanding look, in the shelves as well as during presentation at home.
