Managing Director, Richard Floyd, said "We have been receiving an increased demand for collets for fixed head turning machines that use DIN specification collets like 171E (F42-99), 173E (F48-81), and 185E (F66-359).
Schaublin have always offered a very high quality collet at very reasonable prices, so it was a natural progression for us to enhance our range which has traditionally been orientated around the Sliding head automatic lathe collet".
Floyd has also expanded their facilities to include an in-house collet grinding service to accommodate the many odd sizes required in sub-spindle applications.
The service is primarily targeted at the Sliding head auto lathe user, but there are plans to expand the service during the year.
