Ancillary tool holders for automatic lathes are offered in a variety of sizes to accommodate the majority of fixed head and sliding head turning centres.

At MACH 2008 Floyd Automatic Tooling will be exhibiting for the first time in the UK, an enhanced range of FLO-Tool ancillary tool holders for automatic lathes The FLO-Tool range of High Pressure Coolant (HPC) Tool Holders are specifically designed to meet the expanding needs of the sliding head lathe market

With HPC becoming more commonplace delivering benefits of improved cooling at the cutting area, improved swarf evacuation, productivity and enhanced tool life, the Floyd covers just about every cutting tool eventuality, said the company.

The range includes solutions for a diverse selection of turning tools as well as drilling, tapping and reaming tools.

The flexible range is available in a variety of sizes to fit most fixed head and sliding head turning centres.

Not only does the range coverr a wide selection of machines but can also be adapted with HPC pump fittings to meet the needs of the individual.

Extending upon this flexibility the FLO-Tool HPC holders can be custom made to suit specific machine requirements.

To guarantee performance, the FLO-Tool HPC holders work upon a sealed collar basis with sealed ER collets that have been developed to withstand the extremely high pressure of modern machining processes.

As well as resisting high coolant pressures the FLO-Tool has a robust design that prevents deterioration of the seal.

The FLO-Tool range of holders compliments the Applitec MODU-Line system HP coolant delivery units, which are also available from Floyd Automatic Tooling.
