Controls and valves firm appoints general manager

Flowserve Flow Control's process division has a new general manager, Nick Green, who will identify and implement growth strategies for major international brands within the company's portfolio.

Nick Green has been appointed UK General Manager of Flowserve Flow Control's process division, based at the company's manufacturing facilities at Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Green, 45, a minerals engineering graduate of Leeds University, joins the company following three years as managing director of specialist precision components supplier, Pressparts Manufacturing, and some 19 years experience in senior positions within 3M.

In his new position his primary responsibility will be to identify and implement growth strategies for major international brands within the Flowserve Flow Control portfolio, including Worcester Controls and Serck Audco valves as well as Norbro pneumatic actuators.

Key elements of the role will be to drive continual improvement methodologies and deliver a cohesive organisational change programme geared to optimising development opportunities for Flowserve's 250-strong Sussex-based team.
