For real-time image and fast data transfer of fully radiometric 18-bit images, an IEEE-1394 FireWire digital output is provided.
RJ-45 Ethernet connection is the second option, for network and/or multiple camera installations.
Each A40-M camera can be equipped with its own URL allowing it to be addressed independently via its Ethernet connector.
This allows any authorised user with a web browser to access control menus and the thermal images which are streamed in semi real-time.
Thanks to the fully configured input/output functionality, the A40-M can be easily integrated into existing systems or set-up as a stand-alone unit.
The operator can set and modify up to four areas in the camera's field-of-view.
This allows for example, the system alarm to be activated should the temperature within one these defined cells, rise above or fall below a pre-defined value.
The camera's calibrated measurement output enables it to be instantly used to control a process, eliminating the need for complex programming.
Multiple options exist to reduce dramatically the time it takes to programme a customised solution.
In addition to its Software Developers Kit for Visual Basic and C++, FLIR Systems also offers analogue and digital LabViewT toolkits using Active-X technology.
Weighing just 1.4 kgs, the A40-M is compact and light enough to be installed even in relatively inaccessible locations on the production line.
High quality, real-time radiometric images are viewable simply by connecting the camera to a PC or monitor.
