Camera has outstanding thermal sensitivity
Highly refined thermal inspection system delivers outstanding thermal sensitivity and precise temperature measurement for the most accurate high-resolution thermal images - in real time.
FLIR Systems, USA, announces the release of the NEW ThermaCAM P65HSV Infrared Camera - delivering outstanding thermal sensitivity and precise temperature measurement for the most accurate high-resolution thermal images - in real time.
FLIR's P-Series infrared cameras are widely used by professional thermographers for commercial and industrial applications such as mechanical and electrical equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance.
In fact, the P65 is the best selling infrared camera model, with thousands of units sold.
The P65HSV's large and detachable 4-inch color LCD screen displays crisp, clear images - in either thermal or visual camera capabilities at the touch of a button - for optimal flexibility both while recording in the field, and for reporting findings after inspection.
The P65HSV also boasts extremely high thermal sensitivity (to 0.05 C) and image quality (76,800 picture elements in each image) thanks to a maintenance-free, uncooled 320 x 240 microbolometer detector.
"A common mistake people make when buying an infrared camera is they do not understand the resolution of the camera's detector," states John Keane, FLIR's director of sales.
"A 160 x 120 detector has 19,200 pixels; however a 320 x 240 detector has four times the resolution at 76,800 pixels.
This allows you to see all targets much more clearly and identify problems more easily.
It also allows you to see targets from much further away and still get an accurate temperature measurement.
These are significant advantages when performing IR inspections." The P65HSV enables unprecedented infrared inspection efficiency and productivity due to its many built-in features and amenities such as interchangeable optics for optimal flexibility and image detail - including a wide-angle lens for imaging large objects, and a telescope lens for distant targets.
A built-in Laser LocatIR is useful for pinpointing a hot spot on an infrared image and associating it with the physical target - greatly enhancing the ability to target inconsistencies.
Flexible thermal image and note storage options are also standard on the P65HSV.
Calibrated thermograms, captured in user-friendly JPEG format, may be stored via built-in camera memory (up to 100 images) or on removable CompactFlash memory cards - all of which feature easy downloading to PC for convenient use in MS Word type programs, or other reporting software, for quick and effortless reporting.
Radiometric jpeg image storage allows the user to go back to any image at any time to add and remove spots, measure temperatures and perform analysis that may have been missed in the field.
The P65HSV also captures both text and voice annotations stored along with thermal images, for convenient note taking - while on the job.
"The P65HSV is the most highly evolved thermal imaging system available on the market today," adds Keane".
"The P-Series infrared cameras are the best solutions hands down for proactively locating and identifying temperature anomalies with industrial electrical systems and mechanical equipment.
More and more companies are realizing how the implementation of infrared into their predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programmes saves them time and money while enhancing safety in their facilities." The portable and durable P65HSV is built to operate in the harshest weather conditions and industrial environments.
Dust and splash-proof, it meets IP 54 standards and will not seize up in either extreme cold or hot temperature variances.
Its exclusive Ambient Temperature Compensation (ATC) technology assures accuracy under the most challenging conditions.
* When US readers purchase a P65HSV infrared camera 'value package', they will receive an additional lens, three software packages and more for no additional charge.
FLIR Systems is currently offering a P65HSV 'Value Package' in the USA - for a limited time, receive an additional lens - choose either wide-angle or telescope, high-temperature range functionality (up to 1500 deg C), software including ImageBuilder (enables multiple IR images to be combined into a larger composite - displaying critical measurement data and image detail), Reporter Pro 7.0 (for fast, flexible integrated report generation for Microsoft Word) and ThermaCAM Database (for archiving, querying and organising IR images and reports), two extra batteries, a Hawk sample window kit, and one admission to InfraMation, the world's largest IR conference, with purchase of a P65HSV Infrared camera - a $17,000 value.
