For many companies a 'thermascan' is a name applied to a professional thermographic survey that pinpoints faults before they become fatalities.
Updating thermal imaging saves energy costs
The Climate Change Levy is focussing the attention of many companies on improving plant efficiency to reduce energy costs. Thermal imaging cameras help identify hotspots and so save energy.
This is the message FLIR Systems is emphasising with the launch of its training programme for 2007 that includes more courses and more venues than ever before.
"Anyone using thermography must have a thorough grounding in the principles regardless of their professional qualifications," explained sales and marketing manager Paul Sacker.
"Stinting on this important element only serves to compromise the substantial cost-saving potential of thermography." FLIR Systems now offers certification training to PCN standards and is an accredited Authorised Training Organisation for the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT).
Throughout 2007 a UK Level I certification course will be held in one of four centres in the UK and Ireland.
The first UK Level II course for 2007 has also been confirmed for October 8-12 at FLIR Systems Infrared Training Centre in West Malling, Kent, UK.
These courses cost GB 1,365 per person excluding accommodation.
Additionally FLIR Systems will be extending its Thermography Roadshow programme that has proved so popular this year.
Record numbers of delegates have enrolled for these, free-of-charge, half-day events that provide an introduction to thermography and its applications in non-commercial way.
Leading on from that the one-day thermography seminar programme is also being extended.
Venues throughout the UK and Ireland will stage these training days that will focus more on applications and camera practice with emphasis on image interpretation and elementary post-processing. Request free introductory details about products from Flir Systems ...
