FLIR thermal cameras have excellent
ergonomics

Outstanding ease of use, value for money and excellent ergonomics feature FLIR thermal imaging cameras, which have as standard tiltable lens unit, visual camera, image fusion and touch screen.

FLIR Systems said that when it launched its ThermaCAM mid-range E-Series two years ago it had really 'hit the spot' High volume sales confirmed that the company had developed a range of thermal imaging cameras that had all the right credentials for the advanced, frequent user

The launch of ThermaCAM T-Series to the high-end of mid-range met with even higher demand, proving that FLIR Systems had again read the market correctly.

Now FLIR has increased its T-Series to include two models giving extended choice.

The expanded T-Series will supersede the E-Series giving industry the most up-to-date camera technology, said FLIR to manufacturingtalk.

The cameras have multiple added value features that make the job easier to do and quicker to complete, said the company.

The FLIR T-Series cameras were a winner of the prestigious Red Dot design award, said FLIR, and are valued for their outstanding ease of use, value for money and excellent ergonomics.

Standard features include the following.

* Tiltable lens unit.

* Visual camera.

* Image fusion.

* Touch screen with stylus.

The cameras offer a wide choice of measurement functions including spotmeter, areabox and high/low temperature isotherms; the T400 also has delta T.

The image quality on the original T-Series was already high but now it's even better, said FLIR.

The top of the range T400 launched in 2007 now has a thermal sensitivity of 50mK NETD.

With its 25 micron pitch, this new generation detector allows better performance from a camera that is smaller and lighter than its competitors; this camera weighs just 880g.

* Entry level cameras - the two new 'entry-level' model additions are the T200 and the T250 with a 200 x 150 IR resolution and sensitivity of <100mK and <80mK respectively.

Both have two digital zoom, 9Hz frame refresh and the 'Picture-in-Picture' function.

This allows the overlay, pan and scale of an infrared image on a visual image and full analysis of the combined images from retained measurement data.

On the higher-end models this new feature is both scalable and movable.

It complements the more advanced Thermal Fusion feature that allows the automatic and seamless transition of images from thermal to visual in real time.

* Touch screens - the T-Series was the first ever thermal imaging camera to have a large 3.5in touch screen with stylus.

This feature greatly improves access to the software menu and extends communication and storage functionality, advised FLIR.

All additional information such as screen sketches and voice annotations - features unique to the T250 and T400 - are stored with the IR image, eliminating the need for separate pen, paper and voice recorder.

All T-Series cameras have a temperature measurement range of -20 deg C to 350 deg C with option up to 1200 deg C on the T360 and T400.

Dust- and water splash proof and shock resistant they are all battery powered for up to 4h of uninterrupted use.

The complete kit comprises camera, carrying case, power supply, cabling, battery charger, LCD screen sunshield and battery.

As standard the T-Series is supplied with ThermaCAM Quickreport software in PDF format and SD card.

The range is compatible with the very latest Reporter software, a wizard-based reporting suite with advanced image processing and temperature calculation functions. Request a free brochure from Flir Systems ...
