Flynet's 90% growth in sales leads to expansion of technical team

Flynet launched its flagship product, Flynet Viewer, in February this year.

Since then, product sales have increased by over 90%.

The rapidly growing demand for in-house technical resources has led to the first appointment of Ian Learmonth as a Software Development Engineer.

Ian is a talented programmer with fifteen years of experience in systems analysis, software development and support.

He brings with him in-depth understanding of the legacy systems which Flynet Viewer is used to modernise.

He is knowledgeable in both RPG for AS400/iSeries systems and was involved in modernising DEC/VMS systems.

In the past, he has worked for distinguished companies such as Johnson and Johnson across Europe and CIBA Composites, now owned by Hexcel, a world leading structural materials company.

Andrew Bentinck, Managing Director of Flynet, commented, "Ian is joining us at a very exciting time for the company".

"We have seen a big increase in demand for Application Modernisation and in particular, Digital Dashboards".

"The repurposing and visualisation of hidden data on legacy systems in order to assist management is very popular today".

"Ian has a unique mixture of skills in both legacy systems and modern technologies like.NET, making him ideal for this role." Established in 1995, Flynet is a Professional Services, and Independent Software Vendor located in Cambridge UK and has been entirely self funded to date.
