Filtronic has introduced a FT unit with integrated pre-filter that catches the majority of particles released in lead-free soldering, it can be more cost-effectively replaced than the main filter.

It can be more cost-effectively replaced than the main filter.
If you own a FT unit you can rebuild the old one by buying a rebuilding kit with replacement filter, pre-filter and longer springs, or you can buy a new FT12 unit with pre-filter.
