Fluke introduce enhanced Power Quality Recorder
Fluke has introduced an enhanced IEC 61000-4-30 Class A-compliant three-phase Power Quality Recorder offering synchronisation to power frequency and GPS time registration.
Fluke, a leading supplier of power quality test equipment, has introduced an enhanced IEC 61000-4-30 Class A-compliant three-phase Power Quality Recorder offering synchronisation to power frequency and GPS time registration.
Designed for the most demanding power quality tests and analysis of utility and industrial power distribution systems in medium and low voltage networks, the new Fluke 1760 provides the flexibility to customise thresholds, algorithms and measurement selections.
Test results can be acknowledged as evidence in contractual applications and legal disputes.
The new, rugged Fluke 1760 Power Quality Recorder offers rapid plug-and-play operation with automatic detection of voltage and current sensors, 2GB of Compact Flash memory and comprehensive Power Quality analysis software.
Developed in cooperation with power utilities providers, the Fluke 1760 is optimised for field use in general industrial and power-critical applications such as electric utility distribution networks, hospitals and processing plants.
It enables electrical engineers to assess power quality to EN 50160.
The fully configurable thresholds and scale factors allow the user to optimise the Fluke 1760 for each application to capture exactly the data required.
GPS time synchronisation provides an accuracy of time registration better than 1us: an accurate 'time stamp' is placed on all recorded events, enabling the source of a disturbance to be located by comparing recordings with time stamps taken at different locations, inside and outside the facility.
The Fluke 1760 can offer fast transient analysis up to 10MHz to get a detailed picture of even the shortest event.
The Fluke 1760 can analyse disturbances and their causes, assess reserves of transformers/feeders, carry out transient analysis, detect interference and power peaks, measure ripple control systems, and record day extreme values and load profiles.
The eight-channel instrument can measure four currents and four voltages, or eight voltages.
A 'sensor off' feature allows users to switch off channels not connected to sensors to avoid complications caused by unwanted noise.
Comprehensive analysis software with a report writer is included.
This provides trend diagrams for root cause analysis, statistical summaries, report writing and real-time data monitoring in the online mode.
The Excel Report Generator includes simplified EN 50160 reporting.
The Fluke 1760 and its accessories and power supply are safety rated to Cat III 600 V, and conform to EN 61010-1.
Housed in an electrically insulated case, the rugged construction is built to IP50 for working in harsh environments.
Livingston UK, as a key rental partner for Fluke industrial test tools, has recently expanded its portfolio to include Fluke's wide range of Power Quality tools.
The new Fluke 1740 Power Quality Recorder will be a key addition for its rental customers.
