IR thermal imagers build diagnostics

Fluke has introduced new IR FlexCam fully radiometric Thermal Imagers, the Fluke TiR2, TiR3 and TiR4, and Fluke IR InSight Thermal Imagers aimed at building diagnostic applications.

Fluke has introduced new IR FlexCam fully radiometric Thermal Imagers, the Fluke TiR2, TiR3 and TiR4, and Fluke IR InSight Thermal Imagers aimed at building diagnostic applications Offering the industry's largest on-camera images plus the innovative IR-Fusion technology that fuses infrared and visible light images, the TiRx models provide ideal solutions for the rapid location of building faults, such as areas of heat losses and moisture ingress, and HVAC problems

The easy, one-trigger operation of the IR InSight models provides a lower cost solution for quick, accurate building surveys.

Each easy-to-use thermal imager comes complete with powerful Fluke SmartView analysis and reporting software.

The new Fluke TiR2, TiR3 and TiR4 IR FlexCam Thermal Imagers feature high-contrast 127mm colour displays, and thanks to low noise, high sensitivity VOx detectors, they produce large, sharp thermal images in real-time that are ideal for building diagnostics.

An articulated lens with 180andordm; rotation, plus one-finger SmartFocus, ensures clear readings in areas with poor accessibility.

Built-in AutoCapture, which records images with temperatures outside over- or under-temperature limits to find intermittent problems, alarm functionality and analysis functions on the TiR2 and TiR4 help in the location of intermittent problems.

The fully radiometric capability enables detailed temperature analysis and tracking.

The new Fluke IR InSight XS and XST feature 89mm high-resolution displays.

The 160x120 pixel focal plane VOx detectors offer industry-leading thermal sensitivity of 0.07C NETD and are optimised to enable the identification of very low-contrast details which are often encountered during building surveys.

TiRx-FT models feature IR-Fusion technology which simultaneously captures pixel-for-pixel infrared and visible images, making it easier to identify points of interest on the "real" target.

Users can choose from up to five on-camera and software viewing modes: 'Full IR' detects the smallest temperature variations, 'Picture-in-Picture' creates an IR 'window' surrounded by a visible light frame, 'Alpha Blending' combines visible and infrared images in any ratio, 'IR/Visible Alarm' displays only temperatures that fall above, below, or in between specified limits as an IR image, and 'Full Visible' shows a bright reference image for documentation and reporting and eliminates the need for a separate digital camera.

All the TiRx imagers are IP54 rated.

A 512MB compact flash card enables over 1000 thermal images to be captured in the field.

Images from all the new thermal imagers can be downloaded to a PC running Fluke's SmartView software supplied with the thermal imager for preparing survey reports.

In the case of the TiRx models it enables image viewing and editing by changing level and span settings; extensive annotation; sophisticated analysis using all the captured image modes; and the production of professional reports quickly and easily.

Customised reports can accommodate specific company work processes, multiple image reporting and comparisons.

The new Thermal Imagers join Fluke's range of radiometric thermal imagers, which includes the Ti40/45 and Ti50/55 IR FlexCam, and the Ti30 and Ti20.
