Sales and support includes NC programming service

A ForeGone Solutions product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Aug 3, 2006

In addition to providing sales and support for the Cimatron product range and WorkNC, the automatic NC generator, ForeGone Solutions are also offering to program your project.

ForeGone Solutions is expanding the service provided to new and existing customers.

From 1st August, in addition to providing sales and support for the Cimatron product range and WorkNC, the automatic NC generator, they are also offering to program your project.

This service is possible because of the good mix of software available and trained engineers.

Tony Grew, business development manager said, "It is amazing how many companies are held up in when the holiday period comes around, their main programmer is off and there are not enough programmes to continue to run the NC mills (milling machines).

This combined with sickness, absenteeism, and even overload can lead to a drastic drop in tool room efficiency.

Project delivery is compromised, customer satisfaction is lost and so are repeat orders." As UK tool making is waking up to the fact we need to compete globally, we are quoting for more and more, but with reduced rates (and profits), and delivery times are being reduced to a nearly impossible scale.

What can you do to overcome this situation? Perhaps it is time to look at a new model; and the external contractor is back.

With access to a host of programmers, we can offer a speedy response time, competitive prices and even machined electrodes and parts.

Once we establish your machining styles and preferences, we will have a set of sequences just for your parts, thus ensuring consistency.

Cimatron E is well respected in the tool design arena, but is sometimes overlooked as an integrated solution, because of other solutions that, on the face of it are classed as 'the de facto standard' when in actual fact they can fall beside the road in actual use on real parts, not demo favourites.

But the tool maker has committed to this product (with hard earned cash and productivity loss) and will make the work-round and compromise, at the cost of efficiency to save face.

Cimatron E uses true hybrid surface and solid technology, because as toolmakers, we do not need a fully closed solid model, Cimatron will work very well with IGES (even some of the traditional bad IGES providers) and all the major systems: CATIA V4 and 5, Pro-E, UG, Solid Works, Inventor and the neutral formats of Parasolid and Step.

This service will provide the user with files for all the components in a tool (Cimatron or IGES format), 2D drawings in DXF, BOM, from the user's GA The Benefits of tool paths from WorkNC are speed, efficiency, working to IGES surface data not triangulated approximations and gouge and holder checking for reliability.

Tool paths available (over 40 types) for cavity, core, electrodes, inserts, prototype parts, vacuum form trimming profiles.

In the form of roughing, re-roughing, semi-finishing, re-machining, pencil trace, constant step over all with 2- to 5-axis (all with full toolholder checking) for part and stock collisions an with positive or negative stock allowances (one CAD model will produce all the NC paths for three EDM electrodes - roughing, semi-finishing and finishing).

These tool paths will come with tool data for length diameter, style, machining time, rapid motion time in the form of HTML set-up sheets for the whole project.

Your choice of PP output speeds and feeds, tools and your tool holders.

We have access to subcontract machining, and can provide a complete service if needed.

Of course if you were thinking of purchasing any of these software solutions, what better way to try them out without commitment!.
