Sales and support includes NC programming service
In addition to providing sales and support for the Cimatron product range and WorkNC, the automatic NC generator, ForeGone Solutions are also offering to program your project.
Automatic Hole Drilling with iges files
Traditionally 2D drilling was left to the machine programmers on the shop floor 3, 4 and 5 axes being the areas concentrated on with the majority of CAM systems today.
Based on Cimatron's industry-leading Quick Electrode application, the package includes all the necessary tools for defining the EDM burning area, extracting the electrode shape, automatic documentation and machining, all optimised for electrodes.
By carefully selecting all the necessary tools, while excluding other non-essential CAD/CAM features, Cimatron is able to offer the most cost-effective and complete solution to any electrode design and manufacturing need.
Does your current system need to create separate CAD models for all the electrodes in the series (rough, semi and finish).

Machine control benefits even modern machines
It is said that the latest machines, with modern controls, can benefit from NCspeed, because they cannot predict the material removal from previous cutters and stock allowances specified.
2D turn and multi axis Mill/Turn products
Foregone Solutions has announced the Fikus range of products is now available directly from the UK.
Cimatron allows you to use ONE CAD model, and create the undersize in the CAM, even for 2D orbit cutting To further save time, users have access to libraries of electrode blanks (customisable), and a selection of industry standard holders.
This coupled with the ERP option, will allow a technology file to be created, to pass to the EDM sinker, therefore reducing time needed for manual input of positioning and transformer data.
"The Stand-Alone Electrode solution was developed in response to our many customers who approached us about developing a more cost-effective bundle of all the functions needed for designing and manufacturing electrodes, without other non-essential CAD/CAM functionality," said Danny Haran, president and CEO of Cimatron.
"The result is a stand-alone application at a very competitive price, which offers everything necessary for electrode design and manufacturing while eliminating the need to change software in the middle of the process".
"Electrodes and work pieces are automatically loaded day and night, and our EDM machines are used 7,200 hours per year," explained Cimatron customer, Nico Van Wijnen, of Van Wijnen Molds, The Netherlands.
"We cannot manufacture quality electrodes this fast without Cimatron's Electrode Solution".
The Electrode Solution is available in two configurations: 'Electrode Solution', which covers the complete process of designing and documenting (drafting) electrodes; and 'Electrode Pro Solution', which adds 2 and 3-axis milling and simulation for electrodes.
When these products are coupled with "Chip" technology, "Automation" is perfectly possible, pick and place robotics for machining, CNC CMM for inspection, pallet and work holding to easily locate on work tables.
All this coupled to a suitable ERP solution to manage the whole process.
