FotoNation, provider of solutions for the digital camera industry, has announced the appointment of Shane Fanning as Managing Director for FotoNation Ireland, and VP of FotoNation.

Prior to FotoNation, Fanning worked for Ericsson where he spent the past ten years in senior management roles in Sweden and Ireland.
Among his roles at Ericsson included the management of a product unit with 150 employees in both countries.
Prior to Ericsson, Fanning worked in the US for 7 years in sales management and engineering roles with various companies, including Marconi Instruments.
His qualifications include a degree in Electronic Engineering from Carlow Institute of Technology.
