C of G technology plus 5-axis up
productivity

Driven from the Centre of Gravity technology, together with the 5-axis capability of machine tools, will help aerospace companies achieve their productivity targets.

After their highly successful exhibition at MACH 2004, Pollard, the sole UK distributor for Mori Seiki machine tools, is exhibiting for the first time at the Farnborough International Air Show from 19th to 25th July Around 60% of Pollard's client base is in the aerospace sector

It has a large cross section of users, which include OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and companies throughout the supply chain.

Aerospace projects including A380, A400M, Boeing 7E7and the JSF are anticipated to produce a 10 fold increase in manufacturing capacity requirements, which will last until the end of the decade for some of Pollard's aerospace customers.

New DCGTM (Driven from the Centre of Gravity) technology from Mori Seiki, together with the 5-axis capability of the machine tools, will help aerospace companies achieve their productivity targets through faster machining speeds, improved surface finish and accuracy, and the reduction in handling and setting produced by one hit machining.

Pollard will be on stand D3 in Hall 1.
