5-axis vertical machining centre has high speed
A 5-axis control vertical machining centre that offers five axes and five sided machining of complex components up to 300kg can turn them too.
Mori Seiki has released the NMV5000 DCGTM 5-axis control vertical machining centre, which combines all of our accumulated original technology.
In recent years there has been growing demand for a 5-axis control machining centre which offers both high-speed, high-precision machining and ease of use, due to the increasing complexity of shapes and the need for high added value in the parts machining and die and mold industries.
In response to these requests, Mori Seiki has released our NMV5000 DCGTM 5-axis control machining centre, which allows machining which could not be done on 3-axis control machines, as well as process integration during high-speed machining with 5 axes.
Due to the five axes and five sided machining, complex components up to 300kg can be produced.
This means: five axes milling technology with MORI SEIKI quality with a large range in automation solutions.
The NMV5000 DCGTM achieves high rigidity by using Mori Seiki's unique technologies, DCGTM (Driven at the centre of Gravity) and Box-in-Box Construction.
The DD (Direct Drive) Motors on the B and C axes which turn the table eliminate backlash and allow high-precision positioning.
Turning is also possible, with a C-axis rapid traverse rate of 120 rev/min as standard and 500 rev/min, 1,200 rev/min as options, dramatically increasing productivity through multi-axis machining.
What's more, as well as making it easy to use when performing the basic functions, we overcame the difficulty with setup which is characteristic of 5-axis control machines by paying particular attention to the operator's access to the table.
As a support function to make 5-axis control machining even more efficient, it uses the new generation MAPPSandnumber8546; operating system, which offers a real-time interference check function and specialised high-speed canned cycles for multi-axis machining.
As a result, setup and programming time have been significantly reduced.
The NMV5000 DCGTM is specially designed for die and mold industry, aircraft and automobile parts.

5-axis machining centre can also turn parts
A 5-axis machining centre moves through its centre of gravity, avoiding out of balance forces, maximizes its rigidity with zero table overhang and can turn too. -
CNC multi-axis turning offers versatility, power
A CNC multi-axis turning centre has two spindles, two turrets and two Y-axis or, oprtionally, can be supplied with three turrets and three Y-axis. -
Turning centre has VMC power for milling
A mill-turn centre combines the power of a vertical machining centre with the capabilities of a lathe and offers thermal stability, very low levels of vibration and high damping. -
Machining and turning centres focus on rigidity
'Pure Technology' applied to machining and turning centres focuses on driving at the centre of gravity to achieve very low levels of vibration and high levels of rigidity and speed. -
