The EX-HPSD static discharger has been certified for use in hazardous areas under the European ATEX directive, the unit is simple to install and comes in a choice of fibre lengths.

Fraser has developed a static discharger, the EX-HPSD, which has been certified for use in hazardous areas under the European ATEX directive Static electricity is particularly important in hazardous areas where solvents are used

A high level of static electricity can ignite the combustible solvents, causing a fire or explosion.

Combustible solvents are widely used in coating, laminating, gravure and flexo printing.

Positioned 5 - 10mm from the material, the EX-HPSD ionises the air gap, so allowing the exchange of ions which cancels the electrical imbalance in the static charge.

It does not require any other source of power.

The EX-HPSD is simple to install and can be more effective than electrical systems which cost over ten times as much.

The EX-HPSD is available in lengths up to 4m, with a choice of body designs and fibre lengths.
