Measuring static in hazardous areas
The new EX715 Static Meter from Fraser Anti-Static is said to be a unique instrument for measuring static electricity in hazardous areas.

It can ignite the combustible solvents, causing a fire or explosion.
Solvents are widely used in coatings, finishing, laminating, gravure and flexo printing.
The new EX715 Static Meter has been certified for use in hazardous area Zones I and II under the European ATEX directive.
It is believed to be the only Static Meter of its type ATEX certified for use in hazardous areas.
The EX715 is a pocket-sized instrument which is accurate, reliable and easy to use.
It has two ranges: 0 - 20kV with a resolution of 10V, and 0 - 200kV with a resolution of 100V which makes it suitable for measuring both high and low static levels.
It also features a "Hold" facility.
