The new PP900 programmable lighting controller includes patent pending 'Safe-Sense technology for use with the CCS range of machine vision illumination.

This technology detects the connection and disconnection of any CCS light and automatically senses the voltage and current rating of a light, adjusting itself accordingly.

The PP900 monitors the output voltage and current continuously for sudden and long term changes.

When unexpected changes happen, an alarm is triggered and the output is disabled.

The following adverse conditions can be detected: * Lighting fails - open circuit * Lighting fails - short circuit * Overheating * LED failure (dependent on conditions) The PP900 is a single channel (constant current or pulsed) lighting controller with an output of 0 - 500mA.

It has one opto-isolated trigger input of 5V - 24V, and an optional 9-way D-type connector can be specified for serial interfacing between the unit and a PC.

It also includes the very popular "Display-and-Buttons" interface which allows the unit to be configured in seconds and it can be supplied with an optional DIN rail mounting if required.

The PP900 uses either a low voltage supply or mains power (100 - 240V).

The unit can also be supplied with an optional 'Full Optical Feedback' system: a light sensor which can be plugged into the PP900 to measure the light intensity and adjust the output to maintain the illumination level, or turn the light off and generate a warning if the lighting level falls below a predetermined level.
