Frame grabber reduces CPU usage

The X64-CL iPro is a versatile PCI frame grabber for use with either standard PCI or the latest PCI-64/PCI-X bus standards.

The X64-CL iPro is a versatile PCI frame grabber for use with either standard PCI or the latest PCI-64/PCI-X bus standards It is capable of acquiring images from either two independent Base or one Medium CameraLink cameras, performing image transfers at rates up to an outstanding 528MB/s! The board combines a number of key attributes that make it an ideal solution for a wide variety of application areas where flexibility, performance and reliability are of the utmost importance

The X64-CL iPro includes support for multi-tap configurations from both area scan and linescan cameras simultaneously and offers on-board FPGA based processing at low cost.

The FPGA based image processor, called the Re-loadable Processing Engine frees up the host CPU by performing tasks such by performing shading correction and Bayer on board.

It also features input lookup tables for Base and Medium monochrome and RGB cameras, further simplifying any subsequent image processing steps.

The onboard Data Transfer Engine can perform real-time input tap adjustments and can also perform autonomous image transfers to ensure data integrity.

The X64-CL iPro further facilitates ease-of-use with LED status lights, providing visual feedback when the correct camera connection is made and when an image grab is in progress.

These visual indicators allow developers to recognize if cabling has been correctly set up, greatly speeding up the diagnostic process. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
