High performance lens made for linescan
Firstsight Vision has introduced an 85 mm f4.5 lens designed to improve the resolution and flexibility of advanced inspection systems using linescan cameras up to 12K with 5 micron pixels.
This LED-based linescan illuminator produces a luminance of up to 220,000 lux which compares to, and even outperforms, halogen and fluorescent line illumination, while offering the many advantages provided by LED based lighting such as long lifetime, controllability, and increased reliability.
The intense optical output is achieved by means of StockerYale's patented 'chip-on-board reflective array (COBRA) technology, a unique innovation in thermal and optical efficiency for LED arrays.
The chip-on-board approach to the module fabrication results in a very closely pitched LED array, giving a virtually unbroken line of semiconductor light, providing a very high level of light uniformity.
The combination of high intensity and superior uniformity results in crystal clear linescan images, and removes the need for any flat field image correction. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
