LED illuminator offers long life

High intensity LED-based illuminator outperforms, halogen and fluorescent line illumination, while offering the many advantages provided by LED based lighting.

The New High Intensity COBRA Linescan Illuminator from StockerYale The COBRA Linescan Illuminator has been designed for the demanding requirements of high-speed linescan and web inspection applications

This LED-based linescan illuminator produces a luminance of up to 220,000 lux which compares to, and even outperforms, halogen and fluorescent line illumination, while offering the many advantages provided by LED based lighting such as long lifetime, controllability, and increased reliability.

The intense optical output is achieved by means of StockerYale's patented 'chip-on-board reflective array (COBRA) technology, a unique innovation in thermal and optical efficiency for LED arrays.

The chip-on-board approach to the module fabrication results in a very closely pitched LED array, giving a virtually unbroken line of semiconductor light, providing a very high level of light uniformity.

The combination of high intensity and superior uniformity results in crystal clear linescan images, and removes the need for any flat field image correction. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
