Cost effective and ultra compact USB2.0 cameras for medical and industrial applications are available with an IP67 compliant housing for use in harsh environments.

The uEye cameras from IDS are a range of cost effective and ultra compact USB2.0 cameras for medical and industrial applications.

The already impressive line up is now available with an IP67 compliant housing for use in harsh environments.

Called the Rough Environment or RE for short, all camera models in the range are available in the new RE housing.

The new models all share the same ultra compact housing which has been specially developed for use in industrial environments where water or dust and particulates are a problem.

The RE housing is only very slightly larger than the standard uEye housing, and all new models feature a C-mount lens connection, lens tube and two screw-on connectors for the USB 2.0 port and the digital I/Os.

The uEye RE series has models with both CMOS or CCD sensors all available in either monochrome or colour.

All IDS cameras are available with or without optional onboard memory enabling customer to balance their own needs for performance and cost.

Resolutions range from 640x480 pixels to 2048x1536 pixels and all models are fitted with a universal, opto-decoupled trigger input as well as an opto-decoupled output, e g, for operating a flash.
