The new Dolphin series of megapixel cameras from AVT (Allied Vision Technology) add higher performance sensors and built-in smart features to Firstsight Visions' already impressive range.

The new Dolphin series of megapixel cameras from AVT (Allied Vision Technology) add higher performance sensors and built-in smart features to Firstsight Visions' already impressive range of IEEE-1394 (Firewire) cameras.

Featuring a choice of 1.4 and 2 Mpixel resolutions in both monochrome and colour, the cameras digitize to an impressive 12 bits at 15 fps and 12 fps respectively.

15 internal frame buffers, multiple lookup tables and inbuilt shading correction enable high quality images to be captured with integrity.

Asynchronous capture, ideal for machine vision can be invoked via software, hardware trigger or via the inbuilt quadrature encoder input.

Real time I/O and strobe control is provided as is comprehensive support for partial scanning, binning and rapid sequencing between camera settings.

The Dolphin range offers the simplicity of the IEEE-1394 interface standard - allowing up to 63 cameras to be connected - with true machine vision features not often found with standard Firewire cameras.
