Superior Illumination And Longer Life

The HFR/HFS, fibre optic light units from CCS and now available from Firstsight Vision, combine superior illumination power and longer life when compared to halogen equivalents.

The HFR/HFS series is an innovative fibre optic adapter specifically designed to be used with the CCS HLV series of compact, high intensity LED light sources.

These light sources have a longer unit life, and a more consistent illumination output than conventional halogen light sources.

The HFR is available as either a micro ring light adapter or low angle ring adapter, and the HFS is a straight type light guide.

The HFR 'Ring Type' adapters are designed for close working distances and narrow fields of view.

They are available in a range of different types including a tri-colour unit that can be used with either 3 of the same colour HLV light sources for higher lighting intensity, or with 3 different colour HLV light sources to create a specific illumination colour for a particular application.

The HFR 'Low Angle Type' ring light adapter is an ultra thin micro 'dark field' illuminator for highlighting small concave features on objects.

Because it has such a low profile - only 5mm - working distances can be very small indeed, and the distance between the illuminator and the work piece can be as little as 1.3mm, thus making this unit ideal for microscopy applications.

All the HFR series can be fitted with specialist adapters allowing attachment directly onto the lens for greater stability.

The use of the HFR ring light adapters can drastically reduce the bulk surrounding your application as there is no longer any need to site a large halogen fibre optic light source close to the workspace.

Another advantage is the superior unit life (up to 30,000 hours) which reduces system down time dramatically, and negates the need for regular lamp replacement.

The HFS can also connect an HLV unit to a number of specialist macro and telecentric lenses that allow direct illumination input, thus allowing the illumination to be 'injected' at exactly the right place.
