The drive for higher resolutions seems to be a constant factor in machine vision that does not appear to be slowing down any time soon.

The drive for higher resolutions seems to be a constant factor in machine vision that does not appear to be slowing down any time soon! The CV-A1 has been one of the most popular cameras in the vision market, respected for its robust build quality, small footprint and ease of control.

The new JAI CV-A2 is the 2 Megapixel resolution stablemate of the CV-A1 sharing many common features, thus offering an easy upgrade path.

The CV-A2 uses a 1/1.8 inch progressive scan sensor giving 1620 x 1220 resolution and 4.4ìm square pixels with 15fps output.

Up to 70fps are possible with 1/6 partial scan of 1620 x 204, and 30 fps using vertical binning.

Functions include internal, external HD/VD or random trigger synchronization, and edge pre-select, pulse width control and start/stop trigger modes.

Shutter speeds range from 1/15 to 1/200,000 sec in 16 steps and advanced onboard functions include a frame delay readout mode as well as smearless readout modes.

An auto iris lens video output is also available.

For the bigger picture, the JAI CV-A2 is the natural choice.
