The NetSight II DCL provides asynchronous acquisition of images from up to two CameraLink cameras (area or line scan formats) and one FireWire camera using an IEEE-1394 port.

The NetSight II DCL provides asynchronous acquisition of images from up to two CameraLink cameras (area or line scan formats) and one FireWire camera using an IEEE-1394 port.

Equipped with a high-performance processor, 256 MB of program memory, 20 GB of storage memory and programmable digital I/O, the NetSight II DCL delivers the power and flexibility to meet the application needs of end users, integrators and machine builders.

The Netsight II DCL has built-in Ethernet connectivity and compatibility with such industry protocols as Ethernet/IP and Modbus makes it easy to integrate into an existing factory and/or enterprise network.

The NetSight II DCL is available with the Sherlock vision software as its interface, which is a powerful inspection tool that has been deployed in thousands of installations worldwide.

Sherlock is an easy-to-use graphical interface that is fully configurable for any application.

Sherlock allows users to quickly prototype, benchmark and deploy solutions using a proven set of tools for alignment, gauging, identification, verification and general inspection applications.

Sherlock is highly flexible even for the most complex tasks, providing inline scripting, support for custom algorithms and the ability to customise the user interface.

For integrators or machine builders wishing to port their own software, NetSight II DCL is available with a library of C++ functions to access individual hardware components.

"There are a number of advantages moving to NetSight from a standard Industrial PC and frame grabber solution" says Mark Williamson, Sales Director at Firstsight Vision.

"Firstly, it comes ready configured with industrial I/O; reject control and encoder timings thus reducing configuration time.

Secondly, any compatibility issues between system components are removed and the whole system is delivered CE certified.

Finally, its small footprint, DIN Rail mounting kit and rugged enclosure make it extremely robust in industrial environments.".
