Partnership provides EDI for retail users
Border Merchant Systems joins forces with Freeway Commerce to supply EDI solutions for retail users
Border Merchant Systems (BMS), providers of merchant business software, has partnered with Freeway Commerce, specialists in EDI and electronic trading systems.
The partnership enables Border Merchant Systems to provide its customers with integration of Freeway's EDI system with its CounterAct business software.
BMS' customers include builders merchants, plumbers merchants, ironmongers and specialist kitchen and bathroom suppliers as well as manufacturers.
Freeway Commerce's solution enables its customers to exchange purchase orders and invoices electronically from their purchasing systems, reducing the time and errors in document exchange.
Freeway was selected by BMS for its proven integration with many business accounting applications, and experience of providing a portal solution with industry buying groups, like NMBS (National Merchant Buying Society Limited) and CBA (Combined Buying Association) as well as its ability to deliver e commerce solutions to business users cost-effectively.
Llandeilo Building Supplies (LBO), a builder's merchant based in South Wales with several outlets and a retail homeware and garden store, is a leading CounterAct user and is already using EDI from Freeway Commerce.
The company receives purchase invoices through Freeway's SpectrumTrade portal and integrates them automatically with CounterAct without the need for re-keying.
Mick Curtis, MD at Border Merchant Systems explained: "We chose Freeway Commerce because of their experience of working with NMBS and CBA successfully and their background as a leading EDI supplier in the building supplies industry".
"Freeway's integration with many applications gave us the confidence that integration with our CounterAct software would be straightforward".
"Spectrum Professional offers an extremely cost effective solution to our users, and Freeway has also taken the time to support us and demonstrate the benefits of EDI to our customers at our annual user conference".
According to Paul Kaye, Sales Director of Freeway Commerce; "Freeway Commerce specialises in EDI and electronic trading software and has experience of working with many merchants and the buying groups to assist them in adopting EDI software and processes".
"The Company's philosophy is to provide e-commerce enabling systems that are affordable to the smaller merchants as well as larger organisations".
"This partnership with BMS will enable us to provide EDI to its customers through integration with the CounterAct software, helping their businesses to benefit from the improved operational efficiencies that EDI offers".
