united front pays dividends at NW manufacturing show "Only two days since the show closed and we've already received drawings to quote from" enthuses Rob Williams, Technical Sales Manager of prestige Welsh toolmaker, FSG Tool and Die.

FSG was invited by customer, Tech Pressing, to share its exhibition stand, along with two other Welsh suppliers, to demonstrate to prospective purchasers the combined strength of the companies - a strategy that has proved to be very successful.

The show attracted many visitors, breaking its previous attendance record on the first day, and the feeling from FSG was that most attendees were interested in doing serious business.

"The objective of the joint stand was to show the breadth and depth of the skills available" explains Rob, continuing, "we work together to provide the service and products that customers are looking for and that strength helps us beat the competition from overseas." John Little, General Manager, Tech Pressings, agrees, "We have developed a great team of suppliers and that helps us win orders - this show gave us the opportunity to demonstrate how and why - in fact the show did everything we wanted it to." Both FSG and Tech Pressings are members of the Welsh Automotive Forum, a significant initiative aimed at increasing the level of automotive manufacturing in Wales.
