Leading developer of software for the design, simulation, and costing of sheet metal components, Forming Technologies, has enabled DPS to be a preferred partner of FTI software.

Forming Technologies (FTI), the world's leading developer of software for the design, simulation, and costing of sheet metal components, and Digital Product Simulation (DPS), one of the leading providers of CAD/CAE integration solutions in France, today announced an agreement designed to enable DPS to be a Preferred partner of FTI software and further strengthening its local support in France.

Digital Product Simulation boasts a team of more than 80 engineers (offices in Paris and Toulouse) with unique knowledge and expertise when it comes to integrating analysis and simulation in the * design process of industrial products.

By transforming this innovative concept into high-value services and products DPS helps its clients integrate simulation in their product development process and therefore, reduce their development cycle times while increasing the quality of their designs.

" DPS is very well respected in France for their knowledge and expertise and they are a welcomed addition to our FTI Global Team," stated Michael Gallagher, vice-president sales and marketing of FTI.

" As Digital Product Simulation is a Dassault Business Partner, our valued added Catia based solutions are the perfect fit for them to expand their portfolio to their existing client base in the automotive, aerospace and durable goods markets".

"The synergies between us will enable our customers to become more efficient, optimize their costs, and ultimately accelerate their design- to-manufacture time.

About Forming Technologies - Forming Technologies Incorporated (FTI) is the world' s leading developer of computer aided engineering software for design, and simulation of sheet metal components.

For the past 18 years, FTI has provided OEMs and suppliers in the automotive, aerospace, and appliance industries with innovative software and training solutions designed to reduce development time and material costs.

FTI has trained over 12,000 engineers in Formability and Die Design and is considered the Best in Class around the world for their industry training programs.

FTI and its global network of business partners provide sales and technical support to customers in more than 35 countries.

* About Digital Product Simulation - founded in 1997, Digital Product Simulation (DPS) has acquired a reputation for excellence when it comes to integrating analysis and simulation in the design process of industrial products.

Traditionally 2 distinct activities within a company, design and simulation were often trial and error processes that inevitably drove product development costs up.

DPS realized, early on, that analysis and simulation can play an important role in improving the design process and produce cost effective and efficient designs.

By transforming this innovative concept into high-value services and products DPS helps its clients integrate simulation in their product development process and therefore, reduce their development cycle times while increasing the quality of their designs.

DPS has offices in Paris and Toulouse, France and employs 80 engineers specialized in consulting, methodology, training and software development.
