"The great flexibility of FormingSuite 5.0, combined with the wide range of applications, fully answers our customer's needs".
FormingSuite 5.0 is a powerful tool for design and formability / cost optimisation for sheet metal components.
This version consists of several proprietary breakthrough technologies including:.
* The CHI Solver that greatly improves blank size and formability estimates for thick parts.
It also introduces strain results for top, middle, and bottom layers of formed parts.
* The OFT eliminates the need for mid-surface mesh offset and offers more flexibility in selecting the part surface to build the mesh.
It has indirectly made many geometry and mesh corruption issues redundant.
* The TBS accommodates robust auto-skinning and handles highly corrupt geometries and imperfect solids.
It also saves many manual clean up hours and reduces human errors.
* The Gradient Mesher provides a greater variation between minimum and maximum element size to ensure accurate representation of complex models.
* The PHT is a history based feature tree to capture all design optimisation iterations and connections.
It is the summary of the process used and can be utilised as a standard for specific classes of parts.
* Forming Suite 5.0 also includes a customised API to perform specific tasks as well as customised data Excel-based reporting templates.
"FormingSuite 5.0 technologies have changed the playing field on forming and costing feasibilities and have greatly distanced us from all other forming simulations" adds Gallagher.
"Our clients can now receive the benefits of a World Class Parametric, State of the Art System for a fraction of the cost".
