UK firm supplies electric boiler unit to
Japan
Japanese manufacturer and distributer of high quality food processing equipment has acquired a fully packaged, skid mounted electric boiler to provide pressurised culinary-grade hot water.
Fulton Boiler Works has supplied a fully packaged, skid mounted Electropack electric boiler to Tokyo-based Powerpoint International, specialists in the manufacture and distribution of high quality food processing equipment The Electropack boiler forms part of a UHT/HTST system installed at the research and development centre of Korean-based CJ Corporation - the largest chilled and fresh food processor in Asia

A specialist in the development and manufacture of clarification technology for the alcoholic beverage industries, has installed a fully packaged steam generation plant room.
It is used to provide electrically-heated, pressurised culinary-grade hot water (controllable to a maximum temperature of 152 deg C) for SIP and direct and indirect heating using tubular heat exchangers.
The boiler was initially supplied to Powerpoint in Japan as a skid mounted unit with water softener and chemical dosage ancillaries, and was commissioned by Fulton's service engineer Steve Robinson after it was shipped to Korea.
Commenting for Powerpoint International, managing director Neil Burgon said: "The skid mounted Electropack boiler really complements our system and is ideal where steam raising equipment is not suitable for the process or indeed available.
We are so impressed with the performance that we have ordered two more Electropack boilers for another application." Designed to meet the requirements of the medium-demand steam user, the highly-efficient Electropack range requires a feed water tank that can either be supplied as a separate item or, with the boiler as a factory-built skid-mounted package.
This latter option is proving especially popular as it comes fully assembled with interconnecting mechanical and electrical services.
Like other boilers in Fulton's range, the Electropack is covered by a five year warranty on the pressure vessel and is supported by Fulton's pre- and after-sales service division.
